My limerick poem

This week we have been writing poems like Cinquains, Haiku and Limericks. I'm going to show you my Limerick poem.


There was a cool kid named Matt,
He sat with his furry cat.
The cat went meow,
Matt took a bow
And that was the end of that.

I say ding and you say dong
I say king and you say Kong

I am sad because I'm bad

My free verse poem

This week I wrote a free verse poem about a naughty mushroom. Here is my poem.

My naughty mushroom

Today I met a large naughty mushroom.
When I tell him to sit,
he throws mashed potatoes at me.
"Ow", I say.
When he does sit,
it feels like an earthquake under my feet.
Boom,boom,boom!
He dribbles and makes the polar ice caps melt.
Hey look! the water's up to my belt!
The day comes to an end and we fall asleep,
but when he falls asleep he snores.
Then the next day comes and we have to start all over again.

Our structures-Term 4

This week we have been building structures. The materials we used were 30 straws, 60 centimetres of tape and our structure had to be 25 cm or higher. Our class has also been doing maths. We leant a trick for the 9x table, learnt that a quarter turn is 90 degrees,180 degrees is half a turn, 270 degrees is a three quarter turn, and 360 degrees is a full turn and now I know which way clockwise and anti clockwise is.

Dear Diary-what I think bullying is

Bullying is so, bad -nobody should ever bully. The reason people bully is probably to be the centre of attention. I luckily have not been bullied. I don't now why people bully. I think it's just because they have had a bad experiences with that person. The thing about bullies is if you ignore them they'll just back off. What you need to when you are bullied- go and tell a teacher, it's not dobbing them in , it's doing the right thing.
